To you, I shall be unique in all the world
"To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a
hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you,
on your part, have no need of me. To you, I am nothing more than a fox
like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall
need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I
shall be unique in all the world . . ."

Adiós, Pilar!
Adiós, Pilar! Adiós, my dear, lovely friend!...
I still can't believe she's not with us anymore....
No No No!
I feel so angry and impotent!!!!...
We all loved her so much. It was easy to love her - always smiling and "with a joke in the pocket", happy, full of life, beautiful... I can't believe I write this post..am I sleeping?
I'm sorry, but I can't pretend like nothing happend...it happend... my world is darker now and more sad,... as well it is full of sweet memories about time we spent together working and out of work, having a mojito in the bar, walking in the port and looking for shells on the beach, eating somewhere, eating at her home with her husband and son, here, at home when she came to see my newborn sons....
I can't avoid to smile remembering Pilar, because she was a feast, we laughed so much together :)
Pilar and Mara Jesús were two women who received me at the reception when I started to work in the hotel in the 2006 back then. They taught me so much. We shared so much time together....
Maria Jesús and Pilar kidding :)
She was diagnosted with breast cancer about 10 years ago. After an operation it looked like the deseas stopped, but not, it has reappeared 3 years ago in her bones. After a long treatment of chemio and recently radio she still told us she was ok and we met about 1 month ago in a cafe. It was our last meeting...
She loved tea and all things natural. I bought her some green tea but I was not on time to give it to her...
Really, nobody expected she will pass away so fast...
Me, on the 9th month of pregnance with Arnau (wow, a really big girl :)) and Pilar, explaining how to make picture to the person who takes picture :)
I try to catch invisible threads of her in the air and to give her a hug...
Adiós, Pilar! You'll always stay in my heart.

About plants and flowers
I brought some plants to my studio from outside. I love so much this vibe of growing life...
The same morning I finished these stone flowers...
One pair finished with beautiful green turquoise and salmon coral and another one - with coral and pearls.
Terracotta and minerals...they don't grow anymore, they are a kind of extract of natural, organic beauty...with my respectful interpretation...

Timeless holy mud
Little girls sits in the mud and plays with it...
The mud - where we came from and where we'll go to...timeless holy mud...
This poem of Omar Khayyam is popping-up in my mind right now...
Когда судьба меня растопчет, как цветок,
Рассеет по земле мой каждый лепесток,
И глиной станет прах, кувшином станет глина,—
Налей вина в кувшин, чтоб он воскреснуть смог.
When the fate will crush me, like a flower
And will scatter my every petal on the ground,
And my ashes will become clay, clay will become a pitcher -
Pour wine into the pitcher, so it was able to rise again.
Check "The best place to be is in my studio" on Mud Colony and have fun!

Summer calls

My associations with summer are - beach, sun, figs, summer flavours, my daughter's and my birthdays, a lot of other beautiful things and ....work in the hotel.
Good sides of this work - I actually love being with people, chatting with our customers, possibility to speak English and sometimes other languages like French per example. Also working 8 hours daily makes me appreciate much more my free time, my days off and timeI spend with my family. I organize myself better..even I don't have time to do everything I want...
I love going to the hotel by scooter and see all these beautiful landscapes and breath deeply fragrant island air,.. dreaming while driving, listening for the music in the car and singing sometimes. "Back numbers" of Dean and Britta was my fav CD for last 3 years...it was my calming theraphy...
Also I love that this work lasts only 6 months, then, I'm a stay at home mom, maker, dreamer and a million of things more :)

Bad sides: I can't have my holidays on summer - when my kids are on holidays.
Somedays I'm completely exhausted when I finish my work. I love people, but attending 2000 customers between 2-3 receptionists is too much.
Our boss, he is like a computer, he just sees numbers and letters...he definitly needs a girlfiend :)

Also, everytime I'm there I ask myself: what are you doing here?
I need to change something...
I will.
